Sold out ‘Spring Sing’ raises R11,000 for Hospice
Vocalize’s second annual charity concert, held recently at Northwards in Parktown, raised R11,000 for Witwatersrand Hospice. On a beautiful clear spring evening, the sold-out audience were treated to a delicious supper courtesy of Joshua Doore, and drinks on the terrace with spectacular views overlooking nothern Johannesburg. Vocalize entertained with their programme of vocal jazz in close harmony, interspersed with solo items showing off each voice.
Vocalize is a “not for profit” organisation founded on the basis that our love of singing can be used to assist many worthy causes in our community. “We cannot thank you enough for the very fine gesture – it is much appreciated,” said Barbara Campbell-Ker, executive director of Witwatersrand Hospice.
